[attr="class","tile-content"]What a long day, longer than she wanted. Aofie was forced to stay at a meeting which rolled into darkness. Now, she wasn’t afraid of the dark. No, no. She was just scared of walking in Moonlight Sky alone or driving through the night at ungodly hours. At least it was somewhat early in a since. Usually, the meetings could last on for hours which Aofie had no idea why they did. But she was used to it by now, after moving to Moonlight Sky in December.
After Aofie had waved her peers goodbye, she grabbed her keys, making sure she had them in her hand before walking to her car. Her heels clicked on the tile, the sound reverberating through the empty halls of the school. If anything it just added to the eeriness.
Fingers gripped her keys and the strap of her purse as she briskly walked to her car. Some of the co workers looked on a bit surprised but shrugged it off. Hell, most of them weren’t even human so they often just snickered at her fright.
Once in her car, Aofie locked the doors and started the engine. A breath of relief escaped her lips, as she buckled and began to back out of the parking spot. The way home was calm before she drove over the Witch's bridge that crossed the river. Aofie heard a loud crashing sound, and it made her jump. “Jesus!”
She pulled over and groaned. Out of all places, it had to be on the bridge Grabbing her flashlight, Aofie slowly got out of her car to examine what had happened. The light of her flashlight flooded on the cement and pointed out a nice flat back tire. Aofie had no idea what caused it, but she had no desire to stick around to find out. She just wanted to change her tire out and then get out here.
Changing a tire was nothing new to the young lady. She had done it multiple times and was always prepared for a tire change. Aofie popped open her trunk and grabbed all the tools she needed. Too invested in getting the lug nuts loose, Aofie didn't notice the lights of another vehicle pull up behind her.
